Xoom V. Ipad 2 V. Blackberry PlayBook tablet review

Xoom V. Ipad 2 V. Blackberry PlayBook

Over the last few weeks we have worked with the blackberry playbook, the I Pad 2 and the Motorola Xoom.  We have seen their flaws their strengths there headache causing problems and there brilliance.   The Blackberry Play book, has no internal connection so tethering it to your phone creates many issues for getting email and attachments a drain on the batterey on both devices using the blue tooth connection however the display was incredible  very clear sharp and able to view high quality images and video.  But being dependent on Wi-Fi or tethering to a BB phone, creates many limitations, for this lone reason we moved on.  The Xoom with its mighty dual core processor and fast flash memory is strides above everyone else in hardware, but the OS in default has limitations, connecting it to Exchange via the 3G connection allows for email to come in and sync with your contacts and calendar, however the limitations start finding their way in with attachment size, 4.8 Megs thru the default mail app, Although we believe based on what we were finding that a 3rd party app will eliminate this draw back.  It has the ability to play 720 P movies, and be very versatile the tactile response and Intuitive screens make using it very easy, the Honeycomb 3.0 OS on the device has incredible feature and cool tricks that I does, makes it not only good for business but also pleasure.   The I Pad 2 has the most choice for Apps currently and the video is super sharp, and looks amazing, but we found without the hardware behind it, it has trouble with 720 P movies and is limited to 480.  Depending on their use each tablet has its strengths weather hardware power size or display clarity, but overall the winner in my opinion is the xoom.  It gives you the best options for resolving possible issues and  hardware behind it means you can grow with it, playing HD movies or games, connecting to the office or whatever you want to do will be easier if you are relegated to apples proprietary software.
